Experienced striker Andy Cooke is moving closer to a permanent move away from Valley Parade.

The former Burnley and Stoke City hitman has been given permission by Bantams boss Colin Todd to spend a second month on loan at Second Division Darlington.

Cooke is out of contact at the end of the season and it seems clear he does not figure in Todd’s long term plans.

He scored on his debut for Darlington at Peterborough but has not netted since.

Todd has plugged the gap in his squad by brigning in Aaron Wilbraham on loan from the MK Dons and he made his debut in Saturday’s win at Bournemouth.
