Julian Rhodes is still hopeful of bringing Stuart McCall back to Valley Parade.

Many fans had given up on the Bantams legend coming back as boss once City were relegated.

But the City chairman told the Telegraph & Argus: ‘I’m hopeful of interviewing one candidate I haven’t interviewed already.

‘That hasn’t changed, all be it we’ve got relegated which might make things more difficult.

‘That person concerned has other things to focus his mind on for the forseeable future but we still want to speak to him.’

Mr Rhodes want to confirm a new manager within the next three weeks.

Caretaker boss, Dean Saunders and Lee Sinnott are thought to be among the other contenders.
