Marc Bridge-Wilkinson may have kicked his last ball for Bradford City after being linked with his former club Port Vale.

The midfielder is on Vale manager Martin Foyle’s summer hitlist, reports the Sentinel.

MBW is out of contract at Valley Parade at the end of the season.

He is unlikely to play again this season after damaging his knee at Scunthorpe two weeks ago.

MBW is a controversial figure at Vale Park, having turned down the chance to stay there three years ago to join Stockport instead. No all fans would be happy to see him back

His departure could signal the beginning of a summer clear-out for Bradford City.

Other players who are out of contract are: Richard Edghill, Steven Schumacher, Russell Howarth, Ben Muirhead, Tom Penford, Craig Bentham, John Swift, Joe Brown, Joe Colbeck, Nick Smith, Ben Saynor, Patrick McGuire and Simon Ainge.

If they are all shown the door, it would theoretically leave the Bantams with just seven players: Donovan Ricketts, Mark Bower, David Wetherall, Matt Clarke, Omar Daley, Eddie Johnson and Dean Windass.

And Windass’s future is far from certain after he expressed an interest in staying at Hull.
