Chris Brandon, born in Bradford, grew up watching players like Stuart McCall and Wayne Jacobs. He later became one of the lucky few Bradfordians who grew up to turn professional. He signed for City last summer and fans expected great things from him.

However, in pre season Brandon re-injured himself, and hasn’t played since!

‘I’ve been a Bradford player for 6 months now and i’m still and new player’ said Brandon speaking to T&A.

Brandon will be returning soon and said he’ll have to cope with added pressure, his family.
‘A lot of my family are Bradford fans, so i’ll get a lot of added stick if i don’t play well’

Brandon admits he’ll never play in the Premier League, so joining the club he supported as a boy, is the next best thing.

Brandon hasn’t got a set date for his return, but is looking forward to the challenge of promotion.

In other news:

– Stuart McCall has extended the loan of fan favourite Nicky Law untill the end of the season.

– Luke O Brien won the PFA Player of the month award.

I feel really sorry for him with the start he’s had & some fans have already written him off as another Hopkins who we’ll never see the best of if at all. I hope he gets his chance & proves himself worthy of the excitement his signing originally generated.
