Midfielder Set For Lilleshall

Midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson is to spend a week at Lilleshall to establish the nature of a mystery knee injury.

The 26 year old joined last February and last appeared in the 2-2 draw in September against Tranmere. He wasn’t expected to be out for long but has since suffered setback after setback.

‘When it was first diagnosed Marc’s injury was not thought to be too serious at all,’ City secretary Jon Pollard told PA Sport.

‘But it’s been five weeks now and he broke down again in training this week.

‘It has had everyone flummoxed and he’ll now spend next week at Lilleshall in an effort to get the bottom of it.’
