Hello everyone.
I’ve just become the new editor for the Bradford City vital football site and I figured it would be a good idea to let you all know who I am so I’m not just a faceless random spouting off on the internet!
So, a bit about me. I’m 23 and my name is Benjamin Welby but everybody calls me Wellers, and that includes my fiancée Christine! She and I are getting married next summer and are currently living in York where we’ve been students for the last four years. I’m just finishing an MA in post-war recovery studies and she’s starting a phd in Chemistry this October.
I lived in Bradford between 1988 to 1995, my Dad was the vicar of St Stephen’s church in West Bowling and so I went to St Stephen’s first school and then Ryan middle. My first match was a Richmond quid-a-kid game although shamefully I can’t remember who we played.
I moved to Devon in ’95 and came back up north in 2003 to start my degree and so I’ve been lucky enough to make it over to VP a few times each season but, for the first time in my life, this year I will be the proud owner of a season ticket!
I’m very excited about the forthcoming season and I hope that you together we can really forge a great community on these pages.
🙂
