Bradford would have gone to the Priestfield Stadium with confident of getting a win, given that Gillingham hadn’t won at home since February 14th when they beat MK Dons. Our play-off dream is almost over now following defeat….

The one-nil setback, our second defeat in our last three-matches, probably gives us too much to do to get back into the play-off picture this season.

Gillingham had ‘keeper Morris to thank as he made a couple of fine saves to prevent us going ahead, denying strike duo Stead and Hanson.

Millwall loanee Marquis (72) was brought off the bench to make an impact and he did that almost instantly to curl past Williams, opening the scoring and winning the game for the home side.

Not that it really made much difference Darby kept us in it when he cleared off the line, with Marquis sensing a second….

Bradford couldn’t afford to lose this one, even a point wouldn’t have been enough really but if we’re to have any chance whatsoever of getting back into play-off contention we must beat league leaders Bristol City in our next game, but will we?
