I would have liked to see Reid in the starting 11, great to see Nahki back in the starting 11…..

Bradford started the game with promise, I did expect this after drawing a blank on News Years day. We do have a better tempo when Nahki Wells is on the field.

Barnet seem happy to look and hit us on the break, would the City goal come? Nahki was having to run the channels due to the lack of width.

Gary Jones hit a effort which Bees Keeper Graham Stack saved moving to his right, Jones was having a good game and this was one of his better first half efforts.

The best chance City had in the first half came when Hanson looked to take advantage of a mistake by Iro, he got the ball to Wells who hit a shot with his right foot which flew just over.

City were classes apart throughout the first half though final ball had been lacking, playing with a diamond midfield they appeared to lack width.
5 minutes before the break Barnet were to shock the Bantams when their first shot of note put them 1-0 up. Tawio Atenio grab the goal having received the ball from Elliott Johnson.

Parkinson made the change that everyone could see at the break bringing on Kyel Reid for Ritchie Jones..

The Bradford started the second half looking for the goals to push them towards the automatic promotion places. The task was to get much harder when John Oster put the bees 2-0 up.
Were minds on Tuesday night? Was the team selection wrong? Could it be the formation or were we just having a bad day?

City continued to have the better of the game, shots come from Reid, Wells and Hanson. But the score remained at 2-0. Graham Stack the Vital player to watch was doing what he need protect his clean sheet.

I feel that barnet did improve in the second half the lead has definitely given them more confidence. City still the more positive but Barnet were improved.

Hanson thought he had got city back in the game when he headed home a Reid cross, this was ruled out for offside.
Connell and Turgott had been introduced as City looked to get back in the game. City now had a much more positive team on the field and many more attacking options.

Massive penalty appeal as Hanson was pushed over in the box, ref……….. Some of the referees at this level lack the ability to officiate league matches.

Phil your doing a great job, however get shooting practice Monday Morning!
