Bradford got back into the play-off picture with a win over Doncaster on Good Friday but a defeat, by the same scoreline, on Easter Monday against automatic promotion chasing Preston could have ended these hopes again….

The three-nil defeat, which came with us down to 10-men, at Valley Parade means a gap that’s probably too much to close has opened up once more?

A difficult job, against one of the most in-form sides in the country, was made harder when Routis saw red for bringing down Garner when clean through.

Early in the second half Preston made the breakthrough when Beckford went down in the area. Gallagher (47) had his initial penalty scored by Williams but followed up to make it one-nil.

The second came soon after when Johnson (53) effectively ended the game inside 10-minutes of the second half restarting with Humphrey (80) making sure with a fine effort from distance with 10-minutes left.

An afternoon for us to forget means that we’re down to ninth in League 1 now but more importantly we’re six-points adrift of the sixth and final play-off place….

Can we still get in? It’s not looking good but to have any hope, at all, we simply must win our next game at Bradford but the question is will we?
