Bradford City’s caretaker manager David Wetherall cannot believe they managed to lose to Leyton Orient.

And he insists all is not yet lost – despite the fact his side are now four points adrift of safety.

Wetherall told TeamTalk: ‘We are extremely disappointed and that is an understatement.

‘We are still scratching our heads as to how we lost the game, but there is still an opportunity to win our last two games against Chesterfield and Millwall and we are capable of doing that.

‘This certainly was not the performance of a struggling team and if we play as well as we did in the first half we have got a good chance of winning our last two matches.

‘But now we are relying on other teams to slip up. We must pick ourselves up on Monday and start working towards winning at Chesterfield next Saturday.’

The Bantams could still go down even if they win their last two games.

They would have to rely on Cheltenham, Leyton Orient or Bournemouth slipping up as well.
