The League One season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

A seven goal thriller at Valley Parade was edged by Bradford. This victory over Rochdale allowed the Bantams to close the gap on Shrewsbury in the second automatic promotion spot – the Shrews dropped further points when held at MK Dons.

Blackburn’s impressive run – as they too closed in on second place – went on when Rovers won by the odd goal in five at London Road, seeing off Peterborough.

The position of strength at the top Wigan have managed to put themselves in was consolidated with a home win over Fleetwood.

Meanwhile, at the other end, Plymouth secured a late win over fellow strugglers Gillingham with Northampton’s difficult campaign ongoing when smashed at Oldham.
