Vale Investigate Racism Claims

Claims of racism against Bradford were reported to Port Vale, by the clubs own fans following the weekend win.

Port Vale put out a strongly worded statement about such behaviour having no place in society, which it doesn’t, with the matter having an investigation into it launched.

The statement said: ‘Port Vale strongly urge supporters who enjoy taking part in racially motivated abuse not to attend.

‘Port Vale does not tolerate mindless behaviour of any kind and any supporter who is found to be partaking in abusive or discriminatory behaviour of a racist nature faces a life ban from Vale Park, as well as the possibility of criminal proceedings.

‘These allegations tarnish not only the good name of Port Vale Football Club, but also the thousands of Valiants supporters, including families and children, who attend home games with no issues.’

As said there’s no place for this in any walk of life, the vast majority of people wouldn’t act in such a way in the street so why does that very small minority think its acceptable at football…
