Bradford welcomed the oxes to the coral windows stadium after the triumph win over premier league side Aston villa during the week. 5 places in the league seperated the two teams apart with Bradford sitting 8th and Oxford 13th. The reverse fixture earlier on in the season finished 2-0 to the bantams at the Kassam stadium.

Bradford kicked off the first half with new signing Andy Gray getting into action chasing down a pass but Wayne brown had it in safe hands. Oxford had a good chance when Justin Richards picked out a pin point pass to Sean rigg who fires at the Bradford goal and duke tips it over the bar. Nahki wells got the best of Jake Wright with a skillful move breaking into the box but Oxford cleared their lines.

GOAL!!! Nahki Wells chases down a long pass by Rory McArdle which Duberry gets his head onto but over Wayne Browns head and Nahki just taps it into an empty goal.

GOAL!!! Sean Rigg’s sensational half volley fires into Matt Dukes goal leaving him stranded.

City new boy Dickson then broke down the left for Bradford getting past Jake Wright and Damian Batt but couldn’t find the right pass. A crunching tackle on Nathan Doyle from Lewis Montrose leaves the Oxford midfielder with a yellow card.
Oxford then get on the attack and Sean Rigg finds a pass Liam Davis who wastes a good chance. Gary Jones had a long distance shot in to Wayne Browns goal but he catches the shot.
Leven then has a good chance for Oxford but he can’t find the goal and hits wide.

Half time Bradford city 1-1 Oxford united.

Oxford kicked off the second half with Justin richards having an early shot on goal but Stephen Darby blocked the shot with a slide.

City then get a well deserved corner with some lovely work by Nahki Wells, Nathan Doyle and Andy Gray but they couldn’t finish the work with a goal from the corner.
Alfie Potter then went down the wing getting past Darby and McArdle but Richards can’t finish from the pass. Potter then teased past Gary Jones and has a shot from 25 yards out which forces Duke to parry it out for a corner.
Andy Gray then headed the ball over Wayne Brown following a cross from Will Atkinson.
A cross from Sean Rigg was then headed into the Bradford goal by Justin Richards but Carl McHugh put his body on the line with a volley off the line. Damian batt then files down the wing from Right Back getting past Dickson and then crossing the ball in to the Bradford box but Duke caught it safely. Another goal line Clearance followed from young Carl McHugh with a powerful header off the Bradford goal line.
Kyel Reid then gets his first bit of action exploding down the wing with exotic pace but Michael Raynes cleared.
Michael Duberry went head to head with Alan Connell which resulted in yellow cards for both of them.
Alfie Potter then raced into the box and Stephen Darby clips his ankles with a clumsy challenge resulting in the referee giving a penalty to Oxford in the dying minutes. GOAL!!! Rigg taps a cool finish in to the top of the Bradford goal past Matt Duke.
Carl McHugh then thought he had equalised for the bantams in the dying minutes but was over ruled by the assistant.
