Spencer Weir-Daley could have a vital role to play in Bradford City’s relegation fight.

With Moses Ashikodi injured and Billy Paynter suffering a bruised calf, the striker looks certain to play some sort of role against Leyton Orient on Saturday.

But his parent club Nottingham Forest are also running out of strikers.

And some of their fans are urging manager Colin Calderwood to cut short his loan spell at Valley Parade.

Nathan Tyson has been ruled out for the season, joining Scott Dobie, Junior Agogo and Sammy Clingan on the sidelines.

Paynter is hoping to recover in time for the weekend.

He told the official Bantams website: “It’s only a dead-leg so I think I will be okay.

“It’s one of the biggest games I’ve ever played in and I don’t want to miss it.”
