This morning it has been confirmed that Simon Grayson is the new manager of Bradford City less than a week after Stuart McCall’s dismissal. He will take charge of his first game on Tuesday in a massive 6 pointer versus Charlton.

Simon is known as a manager proven to take teams out of League 1 having done so with Leeds and Huddersfield.

He has managed Blackpool, Leeds, Huddersfield, Preston and Sunderland previous to coming to Bradford.

Grayson was at Valley Parade as a manager in pre-season for Sunderland as the Black Cats outclassed Bradford.

Simon also had a stint as a Bradford player in 2002 where he played 7 games on loan from Blackburn.

The poll on the site says this was the popular choice amongst fans and hopefully this appointment will bring some much needed positivity to Valley Parade.

Many fans were upset that neither of the chairmen were at the game yesterday, but I dare say this was to finalise this deal.

I for one am extremely happy at this appointment and wish Grayson all the best.

Fans.. what do you think?
