Another Bumper crowd is expected down at the Coral Windows Stadium for the visit of Division Two favourites Peterborough United.
This will be a stern test for the Bantams who go into the game in buoyant mood after last Friday Nights 2-1 win, away at Lincoln.

Vital Quotes:

DARREN Ferguson is preparing his players for ‘a proper football match in a proper stadium’ tomorrow.
That is the way the Posh boss is billing the League Two trip to Bradford City.

Ferguson insists the Bantams do not belong in League Two, but that doesn’t mean title favourites Posh aren’t out to stretch their triumphant run to four matches.

However, the Posh boss insists all feet will remain firmly on the ground if the club manage to claim another win.

Ferguson said: ‘Bradford really shouldn’t be at this level. They are still regarded as a big club and it is going to be a very tough test for us.
And with two sides who like to play passing football, the City boss is predicting a great advert for League Two.

Bradford Boss Stuart McCall said: ‘Peterborough have definitely got the firepower to cause problems with good players in the midfield and forward areas. There will be spells in the game when they will be creating chances.

‘But we also believe we have players in our side who have good qualities and like to get the ball down and pass. I would say for a neutral coming down, it’s going to be a great game of football.

Bradford City Team News:

The Bantams squad is boosted by the return of Paul Evans and Darren Williams.
Midfielder Evans, has been forced to sit out the Bantams’ last three matches following a clash of heads with Jason Puncheon in the league defeat at Barnet.

Evans, named in all of McCall’s starting line-ups before sustaining the injury, nicked an artery in the collision and required eight stitches to a gash on his forehead.

But he returns to the side along with defender Williams, who is available again after a groin injury.

However, City are still without winger Alex Rhodes as well as defender Matt Clarke, who twisted awkwardly in training earlier in the week.

Craig Morgan will slot back into the defence and Kieran Charnock could hang on to his place if Westwood is ruled out.

  • Wellers says:

what a gritty performance in the second half. Win when you’re not playing well against the favourites for the title suggests we actually might be on the verge of something good at VP. But let’s not get carried away. Full match report, ratings and statistics to follow later this evening/first thing Sunday 🙂
