Deja Vu?

Soccer AM is the saturday morning show we all watch, and it’s also the place where the draw takes place for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

After the come from behind win at Rochdale, City were thrown into a draw alongside rivals Huddersfield and Leeds United.

Most Bantam fans wanted a home tie against Leeds, as many of us feel we were unlucky last year, when they beat us.

However it was not to be, and i think many of us didn’t quite realise that the team we got were even in the same draw as us.

Yes, Bradford City face a tough second round match with Notts County. The moneybags of League 2 were drawn against us, and it brings back memories of losing 5-0 at the start of the season.

A slight advantage this time is that we’re at home, which should help the lads try to overcome Notts and new signing Sol Campbell, who wasn’t there at the start of the season.

For me, i wanted Leeds, but i’m still happy with an opportunity to silence Sven, who admitted he knew nothing about Bradford City when they played us, besides the fact his team were going to win. Seems silly doesn’t it? That his comment angered me slightly, but i look forward to this game, and hopefully we can progress to the next round where we can knock out Leeds 🙂

Games will be played the week commencing October 5th.
