Bantams goal hero Joe Brown was still on cloud nine today after his late late winner against Blackpool.

Local product Brown, 18, has previously scored twice in the LDV Vans Trophy this season but admitted his first league goal was something special.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: ‘The mood in the dressing room was fantastic because winning meant so much to us. It doesn’t get any better than scoring in the 92nd minute.

‘It’s a big weight off my shoulders to score in the league.’

Brown also paid tribute to fellow reserve team player, Joe Colbeck, who supplied the cross for his glancing header which eased relegation pressure at Valley Parade.

‘Joe has set up so many of my goals. I always know when he’s setting off on his runs to make it into the box as quick as I can.’
