Former Bradford City schoolboy, David Baldwin, has this week come into the club on a voluntary basis to lend his marketing skills to the Bantams cause.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus, Mr Baldwin likened his involvement to ‘home-grown people with a home-grown love for the club saying we’re going to win it back. This is the closest thing to handing it back to the supporters’.

Following on from the resurrection of the fans forum he has made his contact details available to all to encourage people to contact the club with any marketing ideas. Let’s hope that these moves by the club will break down the ‘us’ and ‘them’ mentality that seems to exist and, in David Baldwin’s own words, rebuild ‘rapport’ between all those around the club.

In joining Messrs Rhodes, Lawn, Mccall and (we trust) Jacobs at the helm of our club David Baldwin’s contribution puts us all in a privileged position. Few football fans can say that the influential positions within their clubs are filled by people who will be as hoarse as we are come the final whistle.

And with 3668 season tickets sold by the close of business on Saturday it looks like we’ll be well on the way to making sure there’s an incredible atmosphere come the 11th August.

Lots of people who are planning on buying a ticket have yet to do so. But don’t forget, there are only 32 working days before the prices double!
