Bury have started well again, what’s the magic formula?
Young and hungry players. You may or may not have seen it but Alan Knill has imported a policy this season where we’ll sign no player over 27, (Random age I know) he believes that older players will just generally come here for the money and not be as ‘bothered’ about getting us out of this league. So far it’s worked; we look hungry, even when we go one down we look like we can score and not just fold like we used to. It’s a nice breath of fresh air that’s been needed for a while. These players are now Alan Knills players so he won’t be able to use that excuse should we fail this season.

I see Andy Bishop is injured again; will he ever be a regular in the team again?
I doubt it, for the last 2 seasons he’s been plagued by one injury after another and even when he came back for a brief spell last season and this season before he got injured, he’s just not the same player. He’s lost a yard of pace and doesn’t seem to be as deadly. It’s a shame really as he has been one of the best strikers we’ve ever had at the club and we’d be in non-league if it wasn’t for him.

Who has been your best signing of the season?
Best signing, well that’d have to be Damien Mozika. I never thought we’d find someone so soon to fill the Dawson gap and although it’s early days I think we may just have. He’s a tough tackling midfielder who likes to spread the ball in midfield and doesn’t normally do anything silly. Just nice and simple. Although Phil Picken and Tom Lees have also looked like great signings; both normally solid and always put in 100% effort every game. Nicky Ajose also looks like he’s become a quality player one day, he’s on loan from Man United and you can tell he has that class about him. He’s not really used to League 2 but give him the ball and normally he’ll be able to do something with it. I’d expect him to be at a Championship club at the very least in the future.

Why will Bury beat Bradford City?
Well we’ve only lost twice all season; our first game of the season 1-0 to Port Vale and 3-0 away to Crewe where I believe it was just a bad day all round. We’re 11 points ahead of you guys and generally in great form. On paper it looks like a home win. But we all know it doesn’t work like that.

Why will Bury lose to Bradford City?
Our good run has to end sometime and why not now? Against Bradford who have just come in to a little bit of form (demolishing Oxford on Saturday). As well as that, Bradford haven’t had the best of times at Gigg Lane since they’ve come to this division – so it’d be an ideal time to maybe get something.

And finally, a score prediction?
Of course I’d love a win; we need to carry on the form from last month to carry on at the top. I only think there will be one goal in it as Peter Taylor`s side are always good defensively.
I’ll go 1-1 with hopefully a decentish crowd to say it’s a Tuesday night.

Thanks to Tommy for that.
