Chris Casper has sent two of his lads out of the Football League to gain some experience.

Salford City are already benefiting from the presence of City’s Adrian Bellamy but he has now been joined by Rory Carson.

Whilst closer to home Richie Banks is going to be plying his trade at Thackley.

Given the quality of the first team squad it is incredibly unlikely that any of Chris Casper’s young charges will be featuring in any senior football this season.

However, the opportunity to get some first team football amongst the senior members of a squad is a crucial element of a player’s development.

For proof of that, if it were needed, Bradford City supporters need only look at the zest with which Joe Colbeck returned from his spell at Darlington last season. A player whose confidence had previously been perilously low, escaped the pressure cooker of Valley Parade and came back a revitalised asset.

Let’s hope that the youngsters and the clubs benefit from these loans.BR>
