Fan of Pierluigi Collina, Andy Haines is the match official for this afternoon’s visit of AFC Bournemouth. In his three seasons as a match official he has taken charge of the Bantams 4 times.

3 of those were away from Valley Parade (a 2-1 loss at Rochdale, a 4-0 loss at Huddersfield and a 0-0 draw at Chester) whilst the other was the 2-1 victory over Lincoln in the 2007/08 season.

Bournemouth have only ever played away under Haines, a 3-1 defeat at Tranmere and a 3-3 draw with Lincoln.

Today is Haines’ 66 game in charge of match. Prior to today 15 have finished in a draw and 20 in home defeats. However, with a record of 30 home victories the statistics suggest that the Bantams ought to end the day happier.

Yeah, cos the statistics keep bearing things out…

Anyway, Haines will be support by Robert Atkin and Martin Coy with Danny Markham looking after things in the dug-out.

Will we be wondering whose side the referee is on come the final whistle?
