Going into the weekend Phil Parkinson had said Reece Burke was going to be extending his loan deal with Bradford, at least an extension had ‘been agreed’ anyway!

Now we know this is definitely the case as the Official Website confirmed this news on Monday with the teenager officially extended this initial one-month loan by another.

Burke’s loan from West Ham would have ended after the two-two draw with Sheffield United but this has now been extended to take him through until 25th October, at least.

However, you would expect another extension!

With this being, and I’m sure it is, a ‘youth loan’ this doesn’t fall under the usual terms of one-month loan deals that can only be extended up to a maximum of three-months, so Bradford should, if it’s suitable for all involved, be able to extended this beyond the end of November?

Since arriving from Upton Park in August the 19-year-old has been involved in all five-matches that Bradford have played, in fact Burke has played ‘every minute’ of each game played too with him winning his first cap at U20 level for England too whilst at Valley Parade.
