The FA cup dream is over for another year, at the very point at which it began!

Ok, we weren’t going to win the FA cup but we proved last season that anything if possible in cup competitions when we made the league cup final as a league two side but as a league one side this season we couldn’t make it past round one of the best cup competition in the world.

Goal from Kieran Agard (two of them) and Alex Revell made sure that Rotherham secured a 3-0 win over Bradford at the New York Stadium.

Bradford simply weren’t good enough, Phil Parkinson admits as much and knows we were “second best” in all areas and has apologies for the performance given.

Parkinson said: ‘We were second best all over the pitch.

‘It’s the kind of performance that have been few and far between, but that was not good enough and I am not accepting that level of performance.

‘It was the most frustrating afternoon of the season without a doubt because we lacked bravery to compete and bravery to stand up and pass the ball. These are the two things you have got to have in football, and today we fell short on both of them.’

Has our rise gone to some people’s heads?

The boss thinks that may well be the case with him sating that some looked like they might be thinking “they are better than they are” and he’s going to bash that our of them quickly!

It’s a chance missed, when the draw was made I fancied our chances of winning but now we’ll concentrate on the league…
