Bradford’s League 1 season continued with a draw against Bury at Gigg Lane on Saturday.

The Bradford push for a play-off place wasn’t really helped too much by a goalless draw at Bury, then again a points better than none! Especially away from home isn’t it?

West Ham loanee Reece Burke headed just wide but the hosts did cause problems with Bantams ‘keeper Ben Williams needing to save from the likes of Danny Pugh, John O’Sullivan and Andrew Tutte.

What this point actually did (from familiar nil-nil result against the Shakers) do mind was see us up to eight and move just three-points off the top six with plenty to play for!

These were the other results.

Saturday 5th March 2016
Bury 0-0 Bradford
Coventry 0-1 Rochdale
Crewe 1-1 Burton
Doncaster 0-1 Shrewsbury
Fleetwood 2-2 Sheff Utd
Millwall 3-0 Blackpool
Oldham P-P Swindon
Port Vale 2-0 Colchester
Scunthorpe 0-0 Gillingham
Southend 0-1 Chesterfield
Walsall 1-3 Barnsley
Wigan 1-1 Peterborough

Burton (one-one) missed the chance to further extend the lead at the top when the leaders were held to a draw at struggling Crewe, with other results going for them with Wigan, Walsall and Gillingham all failing to win, either drawing or losing.

The Barnsley (three-one) win over Walsall not only saw the Saddlers recent disappointment go on is also saw the fine form the visitors to the Banks’s Stadium have been on go on with that win enough to take them above Coventry (one-nil), who lost to Rochdale.

Blackpool (three-nil) and Colchester (two-one) saw their chances of survival, they’re pretty slim for the U’s anyway, suffer further knocks with defeats to Millwall and Port Vale, respectively.
