Bradford’s League 1 season continued with a win against Coventry at Valley Parade on Saturday.

Three-goals in less than 10-minutes in the second half saw Bradford overturn a deficit against Coventry to keep the winning run going in a three-one Bantams win.

Coventry were ahead early on when new Burnley loan signing Agyei scored for the Sky Blues.

With Clarke going through midway through the second half a foul by debutant Turnbull not only brought Bradford a penalty it also saw the Coventry defender sent off. McMahon stepped up and converted from the spot.

Two minutes later Marshall’s 25-yard effort had Bradford ahead with captain McMahon scoring his second penalty after Cullen was fouled by Gadzhev to confirmed the Bantams win with 15-minutes left.

Here’s a round up of the League 1 action from the other matches played.

Sat 20 Aug 2016 – League One
Bolton 2-1 Fleetwood 15:00
Bradford 3-1 Coventry 15:00
Bury 0-1 Oldham 15:00
Millwall 2-1 Sheff Utd 15:00
Northampton 0-0 Wimbledon 15:00
Oxford Utd 2-1 Peterborough 15:00
Rochdale 0-1 MK Dons 15:00
Scunthorpe 5-0 Gillingham 15:00
Shrewsbury 2-1 Chesterfield 15:00
Southend 1-1 Bristol Rovers 15:00
Swindon 1-0 Port Vale 15:00
Walsall 1-2 Charlton 15:00

It’s been a very good start to the season for Bolton with the winning once again after two-one win, which seems to be a familiar scoreline for the Trotters, over Fleetwood with Bradford collecting a third win of the week when seeing off Coventry three-one.

Millwall recovered well from a heavy midweek defeat at Peterborough (beat at Oxford this time) to win at the Den against Sheffield United, who had themselves suffered a heavy defeat at home to Southend in the previous match with their early season struggles continuing.

Now it looks like Charlton, having won for the first time this season in the last match, have got their season up and running with another win collected at Walsall as the Addicks won two-one.

But the big winners were Scunthorpe who thrashed Gillingham give-nil at Glanford Park.
