Gordon Greer is linking up with Bradford for pre-season, reports the Telegraph & Argus.

Greer is a free agent having been released by Blackburn and will now bid to impress Stuart McCall as the Bradford boss bids to add an experienced defender to the squad following the loss of Rory McArdle to Scunthorpe.

Experience certainly sums up Greer, 36, as the former Scottish international has a wealth of this from his long playing career in England and Scotland, which saw him a long-term captain at Brighton.

The right side central defender McCall is looking for also applies to Greer.

According to the Argus, Greer’s been asked to join up with the Bradford squad in Austria and has flown out to City’s training camp as the free agent looks to impress McCall into handing him a deal for the coming season.
