No sooner had the season ended had three Bradford players gone ‘under the knife’ to have surgery on niggling injuries.

Although none of the surgeries to the trio of Billy Clarke, Mark Yeates and Christopher Routis are serious, with the operations that all have had being nothing more than ‘minor surgery’, the decision has been taken for them to have this done this week to ensure that they’ll be back in training for next season.

Clarke and Routis have both had knee issues with them having operations to repair knee cartilage damage, which whilst not major is something that’s best sorted out now while we’ve got the chance.

Yeates has had a long-term shoulder issue so the surgery on this should resolve this once and for all.

As said these moves were made now to get them out of the way at the right time with it expected that all three will be fully fit to return to training in time for pre-season.
