Ex Hull, Doncaster and Millwall man Jason Price is set to sign on loan for 4 weeks as Peter Taylor concludes his search for a front man.

Price was rumoured to be on Taylors wish list at the back end of last season, but he opted to join Carlisle where he scored 4 goals in 9 games to ensure the Cumbrians retained their League One status.

Price subsequently signed for Carlisle in the summer.

However, Price has fallen down the pecking order, and after Greg Abbott added Leeds striker Mike Grella to his ranks, (Ironically after turning City down) it has allowed him to sign with City.

The signing of Price, who has worked under Taylor before at Hull, would suggest the end of make shift striker Luke Oliver. It waits to be seen whether Oliver will be dropped, or one of Steve Williams, Luke O’Brien or Oliver Gill will be dropped at his expense despite performing admirably at Barnet.
