Michael Boulding is meant to be out for another two weeks. Apparently not, as he’s going to be included in tomorrow’s match day squad.

He injured his ankle during a training session with the Bantams before he had decided to end the summer’s lengthiest speculation and join McCall and Co. And it was expected that the injury would keep him sidelined for the first few weeks alongside Chris Brandon (unlikely to return for the game against Huddersfield on Tuesday).

Despite his age Boulding’s powers of recovery do not appear to be diminished and Stuart’s already strong squad will be boosted by his inclusion.

This news will come as a blow to Barry Conlon who is hoping to use these first weeks to give Stuart a real selection headache once his preferred striker partner to Peter Thorne regained his fitness.

However, perhaps Stuart’s intention is not to play Thorne and Boulding to death but to use Conlon as the supporting artist alongside these two strikers of quality?

All these questions, and more, will be answered at 3pm tomorrow afternoon.

Check back later for Vital Bradford’s match preview for the opening day of the season.
