Bradford travel to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United this afternoon, looking to get back on track in league one.

Aaron Mclean completed his move from Hull to the Bantams this week, to become a replacement for Nahki Wells, and is likely to come in for an instant debut.

Injury to James Meredith (foot) in training recently will keep him out for two-months.

Fitness tests will be needed for Nathan Doyle and Ricky Ravenhill, who have groin and ankle, concerns.

The arrival of McLean has given Bradford a lift, according to Phil Parkinson, but he knows that in itself isn’t enough to make the Bramall Lane trip any easy.

Ahead of the game the boss told BBC Radio Leeds: ‘Aaron Mclean has a proven track record at this level and he has the kind of character that will enhance the dressing room.

‘They’ve changed their style of football since David Weir left. Nigel has made them more functional and tried to make them more effective.

‘It was a close game when they came here and I’m expecting the same again.’
