Bradford’s latest pre-season friendly, and indeed a game that brought an end to the Scottish tour that included a win over Motherwell too, ended with a win at St Mirren on Saturday.

A one-nil win at St Mirren Park made it three wins from three, added to the three-nil win against Motherwell earlier in the week and the win over Farsley Celtic before we went north of the border.

The only goal of the game came from Clarke early in the first half, with this enough to secure our latest win as the 2015/16 season moves ever closer.

Starting XI: 12. Ben Williams, 2. Luke Hendrie, 3. James Meredith, 4. Josh Morris, 7. Dylan Mottley-Henry, 8. Gary Liddle, 9. James Hanson (c), 11. Billy Knott, 16. Billy Clarke, 21. Alan Sheehan, 23. Rory McArdle

Substitutes: 1. Joe Cracknell, 5. Conrad Balatoni, 6. Steve Saunders, 14. Mark Marshall, 15. Filipe Morais, 17. Luke James, 18. Christopher Routis, 19. Greg Leigh, 20. Sam Wright, 22. Mark Fotheringham

Substitutions: Leigh for Meredith (61), Morris for Marshall (61), Fotheringham for Liddle (61), James for Hanson (61), Routis for Knott (61), Morais for Clarke (61), Balatoni for Sheehan (61), Saunders for McArdle (61), Wright for Mottley-Henry (71)

Yet another good run out, with the starting XI looking something like the one we’ll expect Phil Parkinson to name when the season gets underway isn’t it?

But for the bar Clarke would have scored a second after the beak with recent signing Mark Marshall getting on for his first outing for the Bantams in the second half with St Mirren denied a last minute equaliser themselves when Alan Gow struck the bar.
