Bradford did manage to strengthen on transfer deadline day with Blackpool’s former Glasgow Rangers, Dundee and MK Dons man Gary MacKenzie snapped up on loan.

The was a deal that Phil Parkinson was able to pull off on Monday, we might have missed out on a loan deal for Michael Tonge but MacKenzie’s arrival is a definite boost defensively and with the loan window reopening next week anyway this is still an avenue that we can explore potentially?

I’m happy with the 29-year-olds arrival though he’ll bring us more experience defensively with him more than capable at this, and clearly Championship level, with the Scottish international staying at Valley Parade until the end of the season.

MacKenzie should be in the squad, if not starting XI, against Port Vale at the weekend.
