Connor Ripley has, unsurprisingly, returned to Middlesbrough.

Bradford borrowed the ‘keeper, the son of former premier league winner (a winger) Stuart Ripley I believe, on loan from Middlesbrough at the start of the season but he’s only ever been a back up option.

The one, and only, appearance that he made for the Bantams was in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and on that occasion I seem to recall it was a heavy defeat! Not that Ripley could be blamed mind.

With him loan running until January it always seemed likely that he’d be going back to the Riverside and so that’s proven, this will intensify the rumours surrounding Bradford’s interest in a certain non-league ‘keeper….
