With Ricky Ravenhill having previously express a desire to leave Bradford in order to get some regular first team football it was little surprise when he got this back along.

Failure to force his way into the starting XI with us in league one saw him going to the managers office asking to be allowed to leave on loan….

Initially it took a few weeks for this move to come about but a little over a month ago he got this wish granted when he linked up with the side we beat in the league two play off final last season, Northampton.

Ricky’s made quite an impression at Sixfields from the sounds of it and they’ve been keen to extend this loan for a while, if not make the move a permanent one in the New Year.

That initial request to extend the loan has, as you’d have expected, been granted and he’ll stay with the Cobblers until January 4th now with it quite likely that he’ll join them on a permanent basis when the transfer window reopens and his loan expires.

As his contract expires in the summer, and he’ll move on anyway I’d think that an agreement will come into play that allows him to exit his contract six-months early, as it would seem to benefit all concerned that he did this?
