The Blade rejoins City and McCall after enduring a frustrating time since his initial time on loan last season.

It was at about this time last season that the son and namesake of former Bradford City manager Nicky Law came to Valley Parade for a two month stay.

Stuart McCall was keen to keep him longer but the then Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson decided that he wanted Nicky Law back at Bramall Lane to challenge.

Unfortunately for the youngster he didn’t make an impact and now he finds himself back in League Two with McCall. The Ginger Messiah said ‘I am delighted to get Nicky back. He has been doing well in the reserves at Sheffield United, scoring regularly, and, of course, I already know what he is capable of.’

Another new face heightens the competition for places around the midfield and it will be interesting to see what the pecking order will now be although the other recent loan signing, Tom Clarke, looks set to start tomorrow night as Paul Arnison continues to be frozen out or contention.
