There isn’t going to be another Wembley cup final in the league cup for Bradford this season as that dream ended this midweek.

Bradford, having beaten their opponents in a league 1 game just last week, went to the stadium:mk hoping to repeat the treatment but this time it was Milton Keynes Dons that ran out victorious with a 2-0 win on Tuesday night booking them a place in round four.

Benik Afobe (5) opened the scoring early on with an effort on the turn to give MK Dons an early lead and they didn’t really look back.

MK Dons haven’t had troubled scoring recently with Jordan Spence close to adding a second with Kyle McFadzean striking the woodwork from 25-yards/

The best chance we had fell to Mason Bennett but he curled an effort wide with Jason Kennedy having a good chance with a late volley, but this was straight at a grateful David

Afobe (86), scorer of two goals in the four-nil win over Manchester United in the last round, scored his second late on to secure a two-nil win finishing when left with a one-one-one with the ‘keeper after a through ball from Dele Alli.
