Who’s refereeing at Kenilworth Road this afternoon?

After another disappointing refereeing performance last weekend against Accrington Stanley Bradford City travel to the club with nil points to look to push their season forward.

And in charge of proceedings will be Trevor Kettle who, according to the 166 members of this facebook group, is not fit to referee.

The last time Mr Kettle was in charge of a match involving the Bantams was last March when Bradford City travelled to Stockport County and wound up losing 2-1 and prior to that it was again another away defeat, that time at the hands of Huddersfield Town on an afternoon that Stuart McCall popped up at the Galpharm to witness a capitulation from a side looking certain to be relegated and give him the trickier task of league two promotion.

In fact, and not to concern you dear reader, the Bantams have played under Trevor on three occasions and have lost everytime. Today would be a good day to break that cycle!

So far the official from Berkshire has issued 48 yellow cards and 5 reds, including 2 in the game against Port Vale and Shrewsbury. You’ve got to be concerned about a referee who one week might be tasked with a Championship fixture but then in recent weeks has been dropped down the divisions.

Hopefully we get a competent performance from the Man in the Black…
