Bradford City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Tony McMahon in the three nil victory over Wimbledon at the weekend at Valley Parade was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why McMahon was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘McMahon paid tribute to former team-mate Ugo Ehiogu in a superb display which saw Bradford City ensure their spot in the Sky Bet League One Play-Offs. Converting a first-half penalty, the full-back added a coolly taken second after fine work from Mark Marshall, rounding off a 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to McMahon for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.
