Who was your Man of the Match against Grimsby?

The Bantams put a disappointing trio of games behind them with a victory in the most improbable of circumstances. Stuart McCall kept the faith with 10 of the 11 that had been so disappointing against Darlington. The only change was the restoration of Omar Daley to the starting line up whose 7th minute goal gave the visitors the start they needed.

Minutes later Matt Clarke was sent off for professionally hauling down Nathan Jarman on the edge of the box and the Bantams were up against it. However, a sweet strike from outside the box by Michael Boulding just after half an hour and a commanding header from Graeme Lee on 58 minutes gave Bradford City a commanding cushion that a 65th minute reply from Liam Trotter could do nothing to overhaul.

But after Bradford City rose to third in the table who gets your nod for Vital Bradford Man of the Match? Is it Rhys Evans for somehow preventing all but one of 28 attempts on goal finding the target? Will it be Omar Daley for his 20 minute cameo? Michael Boulding for the crucial second goal? Or perhaps it’s Captain Graeme Lee who marshalled his defence and got on the scoresheet? Or, with your tongue in your cheek, will you award it to Matt Clarke for finally ensuring that Stuart McCall will drop him!?

There wasn’t long to vote for Monday’s Man of the Match but Dean Furman, contentiously, came out top in that vote taking 35% of the vote and moving him into second place in our table…
