Injuries Change Seasons

With news that former Bradford forward Billy Clarke suffering a season ending injury we ask. Who would we miss most from the squad if we lost them for the season?

No such thing as good timing
It could be said that its lucky this injury happened before the transfer window closed, especially now there is no extended loan window. But is there really such a thing as lucky with such an injury, it means Charlton will be on the look out for a new forward, either on loan or permanently. Will they look at Bradford’s forwards perhaps, maybe a McCarten, Taylor? One of the fringe players?

However, what if one of Bradford’s front line was suddenly taken away from us by injury. Poleon, Patrick, Wyke even.. GONE. What would happen to our season? Just like Charlton could now be fearing their position in the league as Clarke was hitting form, would Bradford have a reason to be worried?

That Killa Instinct
We an definitely use Matt Kilgallon as an example, he was out for a fair period of last year and when he returned he was played out of position, then wasn’t really fit and we were conceding goals that cost us games that we could ill afford to given we were drawing a lot. This season it could well be argued that he’s already a contender for player of the season, both he and Knight-Percival have scored 3 goals each (although I’m sure Vincelot wants to claims NKP’s recent one!), as well as multiple shut outs giving Bradford a MUCH stronger defensive line this year. This is with injuries and suspensions galore at the back (Chicksen prime example), and we’ve still bearly used Thompson.

So my question here is simple.. Who would we miss the most if they were out for the season? do we have sufficient backup?
