Bradford have agreed to a deal that will extend Andy Halliday’s stay at Valley Parade into the New Year.

Halliday, who set up our opening goal in the two-one win at Preston North End of Saturday afternoon, was praised for his contribution in that game with his loan extension confirmed by Phil Parkinson.

He told the official website: ‘We’ve extended Andy’s deal.

‘I thought Andy (Halliday) and JK (Jason Kennedy) did really well in that midfield area today (Saturday). Central midfield is a key area and it is a big part of the pitch to play in but they dominated in there at times.

‘Andy also got an assist with a great delivery from a corner.’

Halliday initially came in on a one-month loan deal from Middlesbrough but having impressed during that spell his Championship parent club have agreed to an extension that’ll take him through until 17th January 2015.

If this loan hadn’t been extended the game at Deepdale would have been his last for us, thankfully it was and it wasn’t.
