Ahead of the weekend trip to Port Vale, with him now having featured twice for Bradford since his arrival, Jamie Proctor was brought in on loan from League 1 rivals Fleetwood.

Devante Cole has gone the other way, the former Man City striker left on a permanent basis with him signing for Fleetwood on an undisclosed fee with former Preston, Swansea and Crawley striker Proctor in on loan for a month.

Explaining the move, with the decision to let Cole leave, Phil Parkinson told the Official Website it was the right decision for all concerned with him looking forward to working with 23-year-old Proctor.

‘We have received a fee for Devante and we feel the money can help us to freshen up our striking department. We received the offer for Devante this week and we felt it was the right thing to do for footballing reasons to accept it. We certainly wish him all the very best going forward and thank him for his efforts this season. Following Devante’s departure, we’ve brought Jamie Proctor in initially on a month’s loan and we are looking forward to working with him.’

You would expect the Proctor loan to be extended beyond the initial month but time will tell with Cole leaving, having arrived in the summer, for Fleetwood on a two-and-a-half year deal but when the Cod Army visit at the weekend Proctor can’t feature.
