Bradford’s pre-season programme got underway with us securing a comfortable enough win at Farsley Celtic on Saturday afternoon.

At half time it looked like we could bag ourselves a potential hatful as we went into the break with a commanding lead but the second half XI couldn’t add to the scoreline meaning we came away from Throstle Nest with a three-nil win in the end.

James Hanson, handed the captains armband by Phil Parkinson headed a double to put us into a two-goal lead with former Arsenal, Leeds and most recently Colchester man Sanchez Watt scoring before the break as his trial began positively.

Ideally we would have been keen to add to the scoreline in the second half but performances, and the building up of form and fitness, is the main thing from these pre-season games….we’ll accept the three-nil win though.

Watt wouldn’t have done his chances of convincing Parkinson into handing him a deal any harm either would he!
