Ahead of the weekend Bradford got a boost by the surprise return to the club, announced on the Official Website on Friday, of Kyel Reid on loan from Preston North End.

Reid, who left Bradford at the end of his contract to join Preston, returned ahead of the Bantams’ win at Rochdale with him signing a one-month loan deal.

The 27-year-old, as the title says, is a ‘fans’ favourite’ at Valley Parade so to have him back with the club, even if it does end up being only for the month, is something we’ll all enjoy and hope for him to be at his previous best.

Groin and ACL injuries set him back during his first spell with Bradford but having returned to full fitness last season he helped Preston into the Championship, with him featuring for them three times so far this season.

A loan move that should benefit all concerned, we needed a winger, Reid wants to play football and as Phil Parkinson has previous with him it’s a ‘win-win’ all being well!
