The Bradford run in the FA Cup is continuing for at least one more round after the first round win against Aldershot at Valley Parade on Wednesday.

If Bradford will make it to the FA Cup quarter finals against this season is another matter but a second round place was secured after a two-nil win thanks to second half goals from Greg Leigh, just past the hour, and a Tony McMahon penalty after Luke James was fouled.

Victory will see Bradford play host to Southern League Premier Division Chesham United, who knocked League 2 Bristol Rovers in the first round, as the Bantams look to secure a third round place.

The full first round replay results in midweek were as follows:-

Tuesday 17th November
Morecambe 2-4 Dag & Red
Newport 4-1 Brackley Town
Oldham 2-0 Mansfield
Oxford Utd 3-1 Braintree

Wednesday 18th November
Bradford 2-0 Aldershot

This tie still need to be played:-

Thursday 19th November
Maidenhead United v Port Vale 19:45

No real upsets (so far) as those that would have been expected to go through did go through with the exception of the standout result for Dagenham?

The League 2 strugglers, against a League 2 rival Morecambe, did cause something of an upset coming back from two-nil down to win four-two at the Globe Arena to see the Daggers into the next round and keep those cup dreams alive!

Following the Bradford win on Wednesday, the Bantams know a place in round two will be taken with, as said, a home tie against Chesham the reward for the replay win against another Non-League side.
