Bradford City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by goalkeeper Colin Doyle in the one nil victory over Portsmouth at the weekend at Fratton Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Doyle was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Bradford City demonstrated a resolute defensive display, keeping a clean sheet while also finding the net in a 1-0 away win over Portsmouth. In between the sticks for the Bantams was Doyle, who made a number of key saves throughout the 90 minutes to keep Pompey at bay throughout.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Doyle for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Colin Doyle (Bradford City), Matty Taylor (Swindon Town), Joel Lynch (Queens Park Rangers), John White (Southend United), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), Kieran Dowell (Nottingham Forest), Jorge Grant (Notts County), Mark Duffy (Sheffield United), Sam Surridge (Yeovil Town), Mikael Mandron (Colchester United), Josh Parker (Gillingham).

Manager – Mark Robins (Coventry City).
