Rumours are often just that ‘rumours’ and little come of them, however those linking Devante Cole to Bradford proved to be true with his signing confirmed on the Official Website on Friday.

Cole, having left Man City, signed a two-year deal with the Bantams and marked his debut with a late winner against Port Vale on Saturday.

Not a bad way to make your mark was it!

The 20-year-old, who only trained with his new teammates for the first time on Friday, shortly after his arrival was confirmed is officially contracted to the club for two-years but the Bantams do have an option of a third.

If he can score the goals his early promise with Man City suggests he can, like his old man Andy used to for all his clubs Cole of course, then he’ll get that third year.

A former England international at U16 through to U19 level is he can score the goals regularly for Bradford, like he did on Saturday, then a place in the U21 side will be his next target!

Maybe one day he can also follow in his father footsteps and aim even higher? We’ll not get too carried away though….
