Bradford are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Reece Burke in the two nil victory over Burton Albion in midweek at Valley Parade was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Burke was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘The on-loan West Ham defender scored the Bantams’ second goal at Valley Parade where Phil Parkinson’s men defeated Sky Bet League 1 leaders Burton Albion. Kyel Reid netted the opener, prior to the 19-year-old adding the second to keep Bradford’s promotion hopes alive.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Burke for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Marco Silvestri (Leeds United), Clint Hill (Queens Park Rangers), Matt Doherty (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Matt Mills (Nottingham Forest), Reece Burke (Bradford City), Lee Frecklington (Rotherham United), Michael Doyle (Portsmouth), Ollie Clarke (Bristol Rovers), Mark Randall (Barnet), Sam Vokes (Burnley), Jamie Paterson (Huddersfield Town).

Manager – Neil Warnock (Rotherham United).
