The Official Website has this evening confirmed Saturday’s meeting with Blackpool has been postponed.

With a third international call up, actually fourth with West Ham loanee Reece Burke too, confirmed on Monday Bradford were entitled to have the weekend fixture postponed, which will be the case.

As Burke, who is in the England U19 squad, is a ‘youth loan’ at Bradford from West Ham, his international inclusion along with James Meredith for Australia and Lee Evans with the Welsh U21 side wasn’t ‘recognised’ as one of the three or more call ups permitted for a game to postponed!

The call up to the Northern Ireland squad of Rory McArdle today means Bradford do have three now, four including Burke of course, so Blackpool’s visit to Valley Parade on Saturday is off with a new date to be set shortly.

A postponement is always disappointing, particularly at such short notice, and more so with Bradford looking to take the momentum of Saturday’s League 1 win at Rochdale forward, but what can you do!
